Scout 2 weeks

Scout has been such an easy newborn. She sleeps all day and I haven't had any nights when I couldn't get her back to sleep. (I did with bo) She wakes up about every 3 hours at night. The first 2 weeks with her here have honestly been wonderful. I am surprised by how happy and un-emotional I have been, ha. I just hold her all the time. So many people have come to visit and bring us dinner. I haven't really left the house at all. Her first ped visit was 2 weeks old and they said she was perfect! Bo hasn't been jealous of her at all and just loves her. He has def been trying to let us know he is still here though ha. Scout gave him a race car at the hospital and he loved it. He calls her Scouty scout.

Bo 3rd party

We had a super hero party. You were THRILLED. It was mostly family, but a few friends ended up coming. I did a lot of crafty things for the party and you loved and appreciated all of it. You told everyone about the hulk heads and for weeks after, you talked about how we had captain America strawberries. Your favorite things right now are trucks/cars, super heros, trampoline. You like the movie trolls which I hate. You have a book called yellow moon that is the dumbest book I've ever seen, yet you always pick it out.

You get really into random things and ask to take them to bed. For example, one night you took erasers

To bed? And carry them around all day. You also LOVE chapstick and gum. You came to me once when I was in the bathtub and said "mom, I'm sorry I ate all of your gum." Sure enough, and ENTIRE PACK. 

You change clothes multiple times a day. You love snacks. I asked you what your favorite foods are(dad and I guessed before and got them all Right) macaroni and cheese, goldfish, donuts, brocolli, salad, fruit pouches. 

You told me once "skittles are Berry healthy for me" when I told you that you couldn't have any.

Your worst pusishmebt is to lose a toy. It's pure torture for you. We are working on not being rowdy inside, but you love running and being wild outside and say "mom, I CAN yell out here!" 😂 Everyone says you are so funny and I have to agree! CANT BELIEVE YOU ARE 3!

Scout 7 months

Smiles all the time

2 naps daily (sometimes one 5 hour one)

Mostly formula 

Tried some baby food. 

Not ready for puffs, still gags

Crawling and sitting up finally this week

Pulled up once yesterday

Immediately wakes up happy, Carry her out of the crib into living room and Bo says "heeeeyyyy scouuut!!!!" And she smiles so big. Presh!

I made Bo a spinach and cheese omelette. "I don't like the eggs with the seaweed."

Bo (2.5 years)

Bo, you are 2 1/2 years old. You are potty trained. You don't really use your high chair anymore and you talk non stop. We made a big boy room for you and every time someone comes over you say"come see my room!" ----it's Been 3 months! You are funny and always making people laugh. when you go to a store with your dad and I, you walk down the isle and say "guys, what should I get?"
You got a shot a few months ago and still tell people about it all the time. You say "I got a shot today"
You love your new trampoline, dinosaurs, trucks, and any sport. You are pretty good with a ball. You ask me to play with you multiple times a day. You love your sister and haven't been jealous one day. However you have been wanting us to make sure you get noticed. You call Scout "scoutie scout" and you sometimes say "mom, I love her!"
You say "I'm so glad your home!" And give me a hug, even though I didn't go anywhere.
You say "So mom, what chu doin today?"
When I am not answering you, you say "mommy?mommy? Hillary?"
You love to say "oh,ok!" To anything exciting.
People always point out that you don't answer questions with "yes or no" everything is "I do want that" "that is good"
"I am happy" "I will do that" "we are"

You love to distract me when you are doing something you aren't supposed to, thinking I won't notice.
You have a ton of every. You still take a nap in the afternoons.
You love to eat so much and are not very picky. You know most all of psalm 1. We are still working on catechisms; and you know a lot of them. You know all your letters and numbers up to 10.

At Christmas time; your dad asked you whose birthday was on Christmas. You said Donald trump. We were so worried that you were gonna focus too much on santa, but the Donald response was worse and Hilaious. You weigh about 30lbs. You sleep about 8-8
We got rid of your paci crib and diapers in few weeks span. You were ready to transition with all of those things.

Scouts Birth

Well, this was a lot different than my delivery with Bo. I was 39 weeks and I had been crazy busy. I waited until I was 37 weeks to work on Scouts nursery and then decided to make Bo a big boy room. Trying to cram all of that into 2 weeks was a mistake! However, in no way surprising for me. Hunter and I had not been able to have much time alone, so we planned a date night. We decided to go to my Dr appt together, and then head off on our date night, while Bo stayed with my inlaws. Well, the plans quickly changed. I went into my Dr appt at 1:30.  When I got there my BP was a little high. I didn't have any symptoms and felt pretty good. The Dr went to check me out said she thought I was pretty close to delivering. She was also a little worried about my blood pressure. She said "let's just check it again" I laughed and knew It would be through the roof at this point because I was not prepared to have Scout that day! Sure enough, it was a lot higher and she sent me on to the hospital.

I went home to get my things first...if I said I didn't try to clean up
A little I would be lying,ha! I text my friend to tell her I was headed to the hospital. We had been taking for months about her being my delivery RN. I was so excited she was able to come in for me. I got to the hospital around 4pm. I had no pain at all for hours. I was texting friend and family and even posting. On Facebook.
I sent a text at 8:58 saying I wasn't hurting yet and didn't feel like I needed the epidural. I knew I wanted one, but I was doing fine. About 15 min later I started hurting a lot. I waited a few min and hunter went to get the pizza he had ordered, haha! He came back from the lobby and I had progressed, just in the last 15 min. The anestsiologist was in my room
And I was praying she was going to get the epidural in quickly! She completely my epidural placement at 9:52 (per the RN) and Scout was born at 9:56! I didnt have time to think much less time for the epidural to start working! My Doctor barely made it, and I was kinda in shock for a little while after. I was not expecting that quickly!! Scout weighted 7lb3oz. Hunter cried a lot, we have talked about the delivery so much. He said he was crying because he was worried about me, and then because he was happy she was born. Ha! It was really sweet and he did a great job. I'll just say I plan to get my epidural the minute I get to the hospital next time!

I stayed in l&d for 3 hours because I got too dizzy and couldn't get out of bed. The very same thing happened with bo. However, this time it took THREE tries to get in a wheelchair before I could make it,ha. My blood pressure ended up being ok, and so did everything else. Scout was perfect and healthy and just ready to make her debut. around 1am I headed up to post Partum. I was so exhausted but didn't sleep one wink. It wasn't that bad though. I love having a baby, being in the hospital and being a patient on the floor where I work. It's kinda fun having all your work friends take care of u and your baby! Scout did great and slept in the room with us.
