Last summer, Andrew graduated from Marine boot-camp. My family, Hunter and Mimi all went to South Carolina to see him. We were all very proud. We were excited to see him because we could'nt talk to him for 3 months while he was there. However, we did get to write letters.
Andrew graduated squad leader. He was one of the top 4 in his group! He worked really hard while he was there. He went to Marine Recon school after graduation. Its hard to get in and its a low pass rate, but he did it! He is a Recon Marine, which is what he was really striving for since the beginning. I know no one really understands all that because I didn't either till I had a brother in the Military. I watched RECON MARINE: "surviving the cut" on the Discovery Channel. Its pretty awesome.
He is currently living in Japan!:( He will be there a few years and I always look forward to his phone calls. He says he is not homesick and he knows he is doing what he was always supposed to do! So that makes me feel better.
It was a VERY long drive and I had just got into Crochet. This is the very first hat I ever made! Looking back its Terrible!! I gave to it my friend for her baby and she pretended it was the cutest thing she ever saw, HA!:) Ive gotten a little better, thank the Lord.
