Washington DC Trip

Saturday morning, I left for Washington DC with my mom and sister. Haley had a drug court conference to go to and she invited us to come along. She works at the Jackson Drug Court as a social worker. She spent most mornings in the conference and Mom and I just talked and hung out. On the last day, I went with her to the conference because Matthew Perry was speaking! I watch "Friends" almost every night and I was excited to see him in person!! Even if I had to sit though alot of other Drug court stuff:)

 On the plane..

I couldn't believe how small the White House is! It always looks massive in the movies to me. Our first night there, we went to the movies to see "White house down, " and it looked HUGE!

We decided to save money and just walk from the White House to the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Statue. MISTAKE.
It was one hundred thousand degrees and we ended walking miles by the time the night was over, HA!  I think I bought an ice cream cone at every corner from the ice-cream man trucks! Besides the heat, we had a great time and spent the rest of the night laughing about how many "rest" breaks we had to take:)

It was so cute when we came home. Ayrie and Allie were so excited to see us and it was the sweetest thing. Ayrie said "I've been missin yall so badly."

Also this week, my friend Kathryn finally told everyone she is having TWINS! I have been so excited and can't wait till they get here! The day she told me she was pregnant, I said I think its gonna be twins, and I was thrilled when she sent me the Baby A and Baby B photo!! I always get really excited when a friend is having a baby:)

July 4th week

Last week was great because it was fourth of July week! This year is flying by, I cant believe its halfway through.
On Wednesday, Kathryn went with me to Brittany and Clyde's wedding

She was a beautiful bride and I loved the Venue. I had never been there and it was soo pretty!

Thursday was the fourth of July. We went to my grandparents house to swim and cookout. Ayrie loved the pool. Allie, not so much.

That night, we went to Snowden grove to watch the fireworks with the Cole's. The weather was amazing and the fireworks show was just as great.

Friday, I worked and then we had dinner with Matt and Anna. They have lived one apartment over from us for 2 years. We never realized it until we started going to church with them. Ha! I love having them live so close. Saturday night, we went to a Redbirds game with a few people from church. Next week, I have GOT to start getting ready for my trip to Washington with my Mom and Sister! Hunter told me he is really excited about having a "guys" night every night:)

Brittany's Bachelorette and 5 days off!

I was off Thursday through Monday of this past week! It was awesome. Its so nice to be able to just do what I want, but we have been very busy. Thursday I went to visit my Mimi because I needed some things for a shower I hosted Saturday. Going to her house is like shopping! She has EVERYTHING. This is just ONE of her jewelry collections that goes to the floor, HA!

Friday, I spent the entire day cleaning my apartment. Then Hunter, Haley, and I babysat the girls and spent the night in senatobia.

Such Diva's...They wanted to have a head wrap after their baths:)

Over my break from work, I also did a little painting project. This time, I used no paint brush and just poured the paint on a canvas and it turned out pretty neat. I, OF COURSE, got paint all over our carpet and we are never getting our deposit back.

Saturday night, my sister and I hosted a shower for Brittany Miller. She is getting married this wednesday!Im so excited for her. We had dinner at the Beauty Shop in midtown. I have been there a few times with friends/for showers and always loved it. No one else had ever been there and I think everyone hated the food but me, ha!

The cute bride...

Sunday night we had a birthday party for Mimi. She turned 72! It was fun spending time with my family. My sister is home through July 4th, so I love getting to spend time with her. I have to go back to work tomorrow and then only 2 weeks till we leave for Washington DC!
