Bo's birth 7-15-14 (Part 1)

Well, my due date (July 13) rolled around and Bo had not arrived. I had an induction scheduled for Tuesday July 15th but on Monday morning I got a call that my doctor had a death in the family and would not be able to do my induction until Wednesday. I was so disappointed but of course I understood. I text friends and family and let them know no baby till Wednesday. Hunter came home for lunch and said he was gonna take a quick nap. Shortly after, (1:30pm) my water broke! I wasn't too positive so I called a work friend and she assured me I needed to get to the hospital. I took a quick shower and fixed my hair, then I woke Hunter up and told him. We got checked in around 3. I was so excited!!!! I really didn't want to be induced with my first baby. I was so thankful. They got me started on pitocin and then began the waiting.

We waited till around dinner to tell our families because I didn't want them to have to wait sooo long. I knew they would come straight to the hospital. Well-they still waited soo long, ha! All of our family members got to the hospital at 11pm and slept in the lobby all night. They were a little excited:) Around midnight I got my epidural. I tried to sleep but I was way too excited. I had such wonderful nurses. The next morning at 7, Pam came on shift. I was so excited, I had asked her if she would be my delivery nurse and she was so wonderful.
Around 7:30 she said it was almost time! I quickly put on a little make-up and tried to fix up;) I started pushing around 8:45 and at 10:11 Bo was born! The very first thing I thought was "he's so little!" 7lbs 1oz. They quickly took him over to the warmer and Hunter walked over to take pictures. We both were crying by this point and cried for a while. What a wonderful experience! While they were weighing Bo, Hunter walked back over to me and showed me this picture.

That picture will always be special to me!! So surreal! He was finally here!

This is one of my favorite pictures. Bo gave us a "smile"

After a couple of hours, they put me in a wheelchair and I headed up to postpartum.

Our families were anxiously awaiting in the lobby!

Last week as a family of two!

Well, I'm 39 weeks! This was probably the longest week of the entire pregnancy. I took off work to rest which was a great idea but It also made time go by a little slow. I got a lot done and spent a lot of time resting.

Haley and drew cAme up to visit

We went to senatobia to see our families and Alex moved home this summer. I love seeing him more!! And clearly so do the girls, ha

We had back yard bible clubs most nights this week. It was hot and I am huge:) good times

Worked on Bo's hospital door hanger..can't wait to fill it in!!

Hunter and I went on one last date night before Bo comes. We went to FLIGHT restaurant downtown and to see planet of the apes. It was a great night just the two of us, but Bo is due in 2 days and we couldn't think of much else! So ready to meet our son. I have an induction scheduled for next Tuesday 7-15-14.

I think this was from the beginning of the week. Hunter has no clue I took this but I laughed out loud when it looked down and saw these socks!?!
Just wanted to remember this image;)

Wedding and nesting

It's getting close to baby time! 38 weeks! Hunter and I went to Jacob and kaitlyns wedding and visited our families in senatobia.

Hunter and Jonathan

I also FINALLY got our guest bedroom cleaned out!! I've been putting it off for awhile  because we were using that room for storage.

I like how it turned out. It's nice to finally have a guest room after almost 4 years of marriage. (Apartment was storage too;)

Our sweet friends Jordan and Tim gave us this glyder! I'm so happy because we didn't have one yet. They are moving to India and we will keep it while they are gone.

Also a little paint project...

Bo's nursery

Finally finished my little boys nursery! I really tried not to have a theme and just stick to "boy" stuff. Hunter and our friend Eathan built him some shelves and I loved how they turned out. My friend Brittany came over and helped me organize and add the finishing touches.

Before...

After... I love how it turned out!!! His little backpacks were gifts from friends and they look so cute! We made his curtains from a duvet cover...I've yet to sew them.

Still a few last minute things to do, but overall I'm ready for Bo to be here.

Work shower

The next day after my family shower, was my work shower. This was especially fun because they did a double baby shower for me and my friend Adrienne. We are due 5 days apart and we are both hAving our first babies...2 little boys:) Bo &CJ

Adrienne kills me..9 months pregnant and she is always looking so cute!

We thought this cake was hilarious!

Some of my favorite work girls!! I love them!!!

Working with great people that are like family is a huge blessing, and I will always be grateful! I know I will miss them when I'm on maternity leave, even though I can't wait to be home with Bo!!

Family shower

My aunt Amy and my aunt Bettye threw me a shower for family and some family friends! We had it at my moms house.

                       37 weeks:)

The food was delicious!! The centerpiece was all my baby stuff, along with some of my grandmothers baby things. Very special

Hunter came At the end And he even got a few gifts:)
