Painting and Preaching

Last week, A team from Ohio came to Lucy Baptist for a Mission trip. They did some work on our bathroom, painted the outside of the house, and added some cute little shutters. We painted our front door bright blue and it was a disaster..It looked like a tanning salon from the road and I had to paint it back the same day so they neighbors wouldn't see:)

I told Hunter I needed to buy a wreath for the front door and he said "Ill make you one from the yard." I laughed, but I was pretty impressed!

Over the weekend, we spent the night with Austin and John Allen and she and I went to yard sales saturday morning. We didn't have much luck, the weather was kinda rainy.

Saturday, on the way home, my car overheated and we spent the afternoon at Goodyear. Boo. Hunters parents came and picked us up and we spent the night in senatobia. I Spent the evening with my family while Hunter prepared for his sermon. He preached at lifepoint for the first time sunday! He did a great job as I knew he would. It was great to see everyone and then we had lunch with our families.

I saw this picture at Hunters parents on sunday and it was just so precious. Kinda hoping Bo looks like his daddy:) 25 weeks!

Lately

Last weekend, Hunter and I drove to Water Valley and spent the night with Kelsey and Tripp. They have a beautiful house, and I was glad to be able to stay the night since we live so far. Millington to Water Valley is about 2 hours! Kelsey gave me my first monogramed gift. I LOVE this little backpack! So cute!! She also gave me a Wubanub and some other baby things.

They took us to a great breakfast place saturday morning!

This weekend, Hunter and I took the youth group to a Riverkings game. I haven't been since high school and I actually really enjoyed it. Never thought I would like hockey. Haley also came and spent the night with us.

Saturday, we forced ourselves to clean out the nursery! We had been putting it off for a while since we were using it as a storage room. Hunter also put up Bo's crib! My aunt Amy gave me a crib and changing table last year and I am so thankful to already have one!

This tuesday, I went back for a follow-up anatomy ultrasound. He wasn't as cooperative as they needed him to be at 21 weeks. Here are 2 pics from yesterday. 23 weeks and you can see his little face!  They said everything looks good and he is doing great!

Couples Retreat

A few weeks ago, Hunter and I went to Alabama with 4 other couples. This was a little post "Valentines" get away. We rented a lake house for 2 nights and the guys played a pool tournament to divide up the bedrooms, HA! The girls spent a lot of time just talking, and relaxing. The guys played a lot of pool and air hockey. We all ate a lot. We had not been able to spend much time with our Eastpoint friends since we moved, so Hunter and I really enjoyed the weekend with them.

I got off work early that day so Hunter met me for lunch..

Nicole, myself, Kristy, Megan, and Kayla

Tyler, Josh, Hunter, Phillip and Chad

I was 20 weeks on the trip. Halfway there!

Its a BOY!

Although I had an ultrasound at 13 weeks, my gender/anatomy ultrasound would not be until 21 weeks. I couldn't resist finding out earlier, so a sweet lady from our church scanned me to tell us the gender. I found out at 16 weeks.

ITS A BOY!

His name will be Bo Ferguson. We still have not decided on a middle name for him. It is so much more real now that I know I will be having a sweet little son! I love calling him by his name. I can't wait to get started on the nursery. I will admit, I had a lot of ideas for a girl, but I am kind of lost for a little boys room:) Good thing we have pinterest now.

We are having a Baby!!

Another huge part of last year, we are expecting our first baby! We are so excited! Hunter and I had been wanting a baby for a while and I found out I was pregnant about a month after we moved into our house! I bought this cute little baby outfit to tell Hunter we were having a baby, although I had already told him I thought I was pregnant before I ever got the positive tests. I was so nervous I just blurted it out and didn't even use the outfit, HA! About a week later, I learned that I had lost that pregnancy. I was heartbroken and completely disappointed, but I was hopeful that the Lord would bless us with another pregnancy soon. And He did, the very next month! I was so happy and THANKFUL! I will not mention how many tests I took this time:)
(Ah-hem.14)

Everything was fine and my blood work was looking good this time. I hadn't had any symptoms like the time before. Hunter and I went in for our 6 week ultrasound and to our surprise, there was nothing there. There was a Gestational sac, but no baby. They said "I dont wanna get your hopes up, the ultrasound does not look good. There should be something there by now." We left discouraged but hopeful, thinking maybe it was just a little too early? They told me to come back in one week. Over the next few days I had a few things happen that concerned me so I waited 3 days and went back in to see the Dr. He said "I doubt anything changed in 3 days and with the symptoms its not looking positive, but lets do another USG."

And right up on the screen was the sweetest thing I've ever seen! My Baby!!! I cried and cried, I was so happy!! I said is that a baby?? She said "yes, with a heartbeat of 114"
I was so amazed and overwhelmed with joy! Hunter did not go with me because we were honestly not expecting good news. I sent him the baby's picture and he said he was crying in the school parking lot:) What a wonderful day! I had a few follow-up ultrasounds and everything resolved at 13 weeks.

9 weeks

We really wanted to surprise our families so we waited till Christmas to tell them! Most of our friends already knew, but my sister was the only family member that knew!
We wrapped up 2 large boxes(my parents and Hunters parents) full of pink and blue balloons. At the bottom was taped this sign that said. "You are gonna be grandparents!" When the balloons came out, a few people understood, but we had to wait for them to read the note:) It was PERFECT! Just how I planned! Waiting 11 weeks was torture but so worth it. To my surprise, not one family member suspected anything, they were all truly shocked.

3 year Wedding Anniversary!

On September 25th, we celebrated 3 years of marriage! I can't believe it. This year has been the best by far, we both agree. We have had a lot of fun together and grown in our relationship. I love Hunter so much and I am so thankful to be his wife. He keeps me laughing thats for sure! Here are some pics from our wedding day.

This one makes me laugh cause we hate closing our eyes for serious pics. We are clearly smirking:)

My two favorites…

Again with the eye closing…..

I love this picture of Hunter, he looks so young!
